Refund Policy.

How cancellation, billing, and your data work when you stop using Keystone IQ. Last updated August 2026.

Cancel anytime

Cancel whenever you want. You keep full access through the end of the period you've already paid for, and you're never billed again after that. We don't refund the unused part of that period.

Switching plans mid-period is different. The difference is prorated onto your next invoice as a credit or an added charge, rather than paid back as a refund.

During your free trial

Keystone IQ offers a 14-day free trial, and no card is required to start one. Nothing is charged until you choose to subscribe. If Keystone IQ isn't right for you, let the trial end. There was never a charge, so there's nothing to refund.

If you couldn't start a trial and subscribed directly, email support@keystoneiq.app and we'll look at it individually.

How to cancel

In the app, go to Settings → Plan & Billing and choose Cancel Subscription. There's no call to make and no email to send.

If you'd rather someone walked you through it, email support@keystoneiq.app.

What happens to your data

Cancelling deletes nothing right away. Your paid access runs to the end of the period you've already paid for. The 30-day retention window starts after that, not when you click Cancel. In total, you keep your data for the rest of your paid period plus 30 more days.

Resubscribe inside that window and nothing is lost. Once it closes, your account and data are permanently deleted.

Permanent deletion removes your operational data across our systems: transactions, properties, tenants, Document Vault files, sign-in history, and any connected bank or mortgage accounts. Your subscription ends, and the contact details held by our payment processor are scrubbed. A few narrow categories are kept beyond this point for specific, disclosed reasons: invoices and payment records that tax and accounting rules require our payment processor to retain, any unsubscribe/bounce instruction you've given us (so we never re-contact that address), and a bug report you submitted, mirrored to our internal issue tracker and deletable individually on request. Our Privacy Policy has the full picture.

Billed in error?

If you were charged in error, or something on your bill looks wrong, email support@keystoneiq.app with the details. We review billing questions case by case, so tell us what happened and we'll work it out with you.

Our Terms of Service state: "Keystone IQ is an analytical tool. It does not provide formal tax, legal, or financial advice."
